First Annual Underground ?Stuff-a-Sack? Winter Clearance Sale
Plymouth Church?s Underground Thrift Store is holding the First Annual Underground ?Stuff-a-Sack? Winter Clearance Sale this coming Sunday, February 26th, 2012. Store hours will be extended for this one-day event from 12:30pm-5:30pm. Store location: 65 Hicks Street, between Orange and Cranberry in Brooklyn Heights. Shoppers can purchase as many $25 Underground Thrift Store Totes (a $5 value) as they like and can then stuff them with as much of our inventory of winter clothing for women, men and children as they can fit into them. 5% of our store?s profits are donated to organizations that fight modern day slavery.
Tour of the Prospect Park South?s Japanese House

Brooklyn Flea + SmorgasBrewery
The Flea is indoors at beautiful Skylight One Hanson both Saturday and Sunday. And don?t forget about SmorgasBrewery, a mini-Smorgasburg featuring a rotating cast of five Flea/Smorg food vendors serving inside the Brewery?s Tasting Room on North 11th St. in Williamsburg on Sundays. The Flea runs from 10am to 5pm at Skylight One Hanson and SmorgasBrewery runs only Sunday from noon to 5pm.

Tonight, February 24, from 6 to 8 pm, Waterfront Wines & Spirits will host ?Drink Local?, a free event featuring four Brooklyn-based wine and spirits makers who will be onsite pouring tastings of their Brooklyn-made vodka, gin and wine. openhousenewyork announces a new series ? openstudios- designed to provide exclusive access to the architecture studios and the individual architects and designers whose work make New York City a vibrant and sustainable place to live and work. This series will also highlight the individual neighborhoods throughout the city that have become burgeoning hubs of architectural creativity and design innovation. Organized in collaboration with The Architect?s Newspaper, Two Trees Development, and the DUMBO Improvement District, the series kicks off on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 1:00 ? 5:00pm in DUMBO, Brooklyn. More than twenty-five established and emerging architecture and design firms will open their studios to discuss their practices. Visitors will have the opportunity see models, renderings, and drawings, and get insight from the architects and designers themselves into the influences and challenges that shape their practice.
